– Piece 1: abstract sailboat scene on board with black edges, signed "Jean Kalisch" lower right. A label on the back reads "JEAN KALISCH / Sunset Sailing / Private Collection" with a printed artist biography. The medium (original or reproduction) is not confirmed.
– Condition, piece 1: small white spots and losses on the surface. Wear at the corners and edges. The back label has a torn corner.
– Piece 2: framed and matted photograph of a river with autumn foliage. It is behind glazing in a wood-tone frame with a beaded edge, with a double mat.
– A typed label on the back of piece 2 identifies the scene as the Oconaluftee River, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It describes the photo as "a Cibachrome photographic print" and reads "Copyright OUR VIEW 1988" and "Jim & Judy Mowbray, Weaverville, NC."
– Condition, piece 2: the backing paper is torn at the bottom near the fasteners. Reflections in the photos limit inspection of the glazing.
