Four Assorted Side Chairs: Two Stenciled Rush-Seat, One Cane-Seat, One Spindle-Back

– Four wooden side chairs sold together.
– Two black-painted side chairs with woven rush seats, turned legs and stretchers, and gold-colored banding and pinstriping. One back slat is stenciled with a fruit basket, grapes, and leaves. The other has a stenciled leaf and fruit design.
– One wood side chair with a woven cane seat, a two-slat back, and turned front legs and stretchers.
– One wood spindle-back side chair with a plank seat and splayed legs joined by stretchers.
– No maker marks or labels are visible in the photos.
– Rush-seat chairs: paint is worn and chipped, heaviest on the second chair, where a reddish-orange undercoat shows on the seat rails and crest rail. The leg ends are worn, and one crest rail end appears split at the joint.
– Cane-seat chair: the cane appears intact, with dark stains. The lower back slat shows a visible crack. Finish wear throughout.
– Spindle-back chair: worn finish, with scratches and wear on the seat and crest rail and a chip at one crest rail end.
– The drop-leaf table shown in some photos is not part of this lot.
