1880-1890 Charoal grey silk mourning dress with faux pearl buttons. Asymetrical skirt with side ruching. Original covered buttons were changed at some point with faux pearl beads. Sleeve buttons were also removed, but not replaced. Bodice shows wear and discolouration in armpits – there are mends on both sleeves originating from armpit. White salt stain on chest. Some wear on skirt waistband and hem. Sun fading on skirt in back and front hem. Small split in front bodice seam. Intact, original boning. 24" waist 38" skirt length
