NORMAN SIMS HATTER SALT LAKE CITY UTAH
Dating from the late 1940s to the early 1950s, this Royal Stetson iconic “Western Dress” hat bridges the gap between a classic fedora and a western cowboy hat. This is the legendary style famously worn by prominent oilmen, cattlemen and Presidents Truman and LBJ, featuring a premium fur felt composition that far exceeds the quality of modern factory reproductions.
This hat is in remarkable vintage condition for its age. The fur felt is soft, tight, and holds its crease beautifully. The leather sweatband remains supple and intact with bright gold foil stamping. The interior satin liner shows some light, authentic age-toning/patina as expected from a true mid-century piece, but with no major damage. Brim is flat and even. (Please review all high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic condition).
Stetson Open Road (Royal Tier). The Size 7 Long Oval (7 LO) Features the original manila paper size tag behind the sweatband, even showing the original $10 price tag.
