Item description:

Madame Alexander “Annabelle” hard plastic doll, produced in 1952, measures approximately 21 inches in height, as verified by a measuring tape in the image and corroborated by the original tag. The doll represents the character from Kate Smith’s popular children’s books and is dressed in her original red fleece top embroidered with “Annabelle,” a yellow Peter Pan collared dress with red rickrack, white socks, black shoes, and a red hair bow.

On the wrist is the iconic green Madame Alexander clover tag, which verifies its authenticity as “A Madame Alexander Doll.” Accompanying the doll is a stuffed brown dog accessory, adding to the set’s charm. Documentation and a tag from the Maxine Salemann Collection are attached, providing notable provenance and reference illustration.

The doll retains vibrant coloring on her cheeks, and her sleep eyes mechanism remains functional. This is a well-preserved example from the early 1950s Madame Alexander production, highly regarded by collectors for completeness and documented provenance.
