Item description:

Handpainted ceramic table lamp designed in the style of a Chinese temple jar, with accompanying hardware and a classic pleated lamp shade. The jar-form base is adorned with vibrant florals, scrolling tendril patterns, and a border of yellow and orange blossoms set against a cream background. The lamp remains mounted to a round wooden base, and its metal harp includes a decorative finial suggestive of East Asian auspicious symbols. The socket assembly is marked Frederick Cooper Lamps, Chicago. From shade to base, the complete assembled lamp stands at approximately 16 inches tall (as shown by the tape measure). The included plug, wiring, and socket indicate utility for US electrical standards and show typical signs of prior use. The finely rendered floral motifs and harmonious palette reflect classic Chinese-inspired aesthetics. Please note minor wear and some visible blemishes to painted areas. The lamp is offered as pictured, with no additional provenance supplied. Wiring and functionality have not been independently tested.
