This Lord Nelson Ware children's nursery plate features an illustrated scene of a rabbit fishing with a mouse and a duck, surrounded by the English alphabet in blue on the rim. The plate is marked "Lord Nelson Ware, Elijah Cotton, Staffordshire, England" on the underside.
The example shows crazing throughout and a significant chip along the rim, visible in detail photos. The imagery remains clear and colorful. This plate is likely mid-20th century, produced by Elijah Cotton Ltd. in Staffordshire, England, for nursery use. See photos for measurements, if taken.
