This is "Wood's New Illustrated Natural History" by Rev. J.G. Wood, M.A., F.L.S., published by Barr-Dinwiddie Co. of Jersey City, New Jersey. The book is copiously illustrated with numerous engravings depicting various animal species.
The cover is worn, showing significant damage to the spine, especially at the bottom edge, with some separation and chipping noted. The binding appears fragile and partially detached in places, and there is surface wear on the boards. Internal pages display age toning, but the illustrations remain clear and intact.
This book is an example of 19th-century natural history works. See photos for Measurements if taken.
