Madame Alexander doll from the International Series, titled “Italy” and numbered 593, created by the Alexander Doll Company of New York, N.Y. The doll is presented in her original box, which bears the same series information and the Alexander logo.
She stands approximately 8 inches tall and is dressed in a traditional Italian costume with a white blouse, green skirt with golden trim, and a vibrant pink overskirt, complemented by lace cuffs and an embroidered waistband. Her outfit is topped with a straw bonnet adorned with delicate floral accents. The original fabric tag is sewn into her dress, reading “Italy, Madame Alexander, New York, U.S.A.” Also included is the illustrated Madame Alexander booklet featuring the “Little Women” collection.
This doll is preserved in excellent condition, with her outfit retaining bright colors and crisp details, and is a fine example of mid-to-late twentieth-century Madame Alexander craftsmanship.
