Master glassmaker Carl Erickson is well known for his extensive use of controlled bubbles inside heavy, cased glass. This amethyst piece is an example of lining up the bubbles and then decreasing the size of each from the top to the bottom of the dish. 2.5" high, 7" wide at the top and 1.5" in diameter at the polished pontil. The bowl has a green tint. It also features layered swirls/scallops on the top edges. Remarkable piece. Lot 26 offers another one.
