Signed W.D. Thompson in the lower left. Thompson is an Alabama-based painter who turned to fine art after a 30+ year career in aerospace engineering. His paintings have received numerous awards, his work has been acquired by the Mobile Museum of Art, and he has participated in the U.S. Department of State’s Art in Embassies program. His work is known for capturing everyday scenes through expressive composition, color, and textured application of paint.
