The painting is signed in the lower left corner, though the artist’s signature is not clearly legible enough to confidently identify. Painted on stretched canvas and presented in an elaborate black and gold-tone frame with raised floral and scroll decoration.

Pre-owned condition with age-related wear throughout. Painting shows scattered surface marks, spotting/discoloration, light scratches, and general wear. Frame has significant decorative losses at multiple corners, exposing the lighter underlying material, along with cracks, chips, scratches, scuffs, finish loss, dust/soiling, and other cosmetic wear. Reverse shows age-related discoloration and wear to the canvas and frame.
Despite the frame damage, the painted lake and cottage scene remains attractive and displays well as a decorative landscape.
