Item description:

A charming vintage period genre scene reproduced after British artist Frank Moss Bennett. The composition depicts a classic 18th-century interior where a gentleman in a red coat reclines in a green armchair beside a fireplace, while a maid carefully lights his long clay pipe. Noted for his meticulous historical accuracy, the scene is richly detailed with a lace-clothed tea table, an ornate floral overmantel mirror, and scattered books. The artist’s signature is printed in the lower right-hand corner. 
Medium/Style: Vintage textured lithographic print on canvas-grained board. 
Artist/Markings: Signed “F.M. Bennett” within the matrix at the lower right.
Dimensions: Visible artwork measures approximately 11.5″ W x 15.5″ H. Outer frame edges measure approximately 13″ W x 17″ H.
Condition Report: Fair to good vintage condition; the print surface exhibits scattered moisture spotting, light surface grime, and minor age-related discoloration. The wood frame shows noticeable perimeter scuffing and finish wear consistent with age.
Framing & Hardware: Housed in a dark-stained wood cove frame with a thin red accent lip. The reverse features an unsealed cardboard backing secured with metal glazier points and an old wire hanging assembly
