Item description:

This exceptional estate art lot features a beautifully matched pair of vintage mid-century modern (MCM) decorative still life prints by the artist Locke. Produced using precise multi-tone offset lithography, the compositions carry smooth color transitions, airbrush-style gradients, and soft shading characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative salon art. Artistic Composition:
Print 1 (Anemones & Flamingo Figurine): Showcases a shallow rectangular bowl holding an arrangement of crisp white anemone blossoms. To the left stands a stylized, sleek white flamingo figurine with an elegantly curved neck, balanced by a muted tan-olive backdrop background.
Print 2 (Morning Glories & Dove Figurine): Features a footed ceramic bowl arranging white anemones and pale blue morning glory flowers. A white dove figurine captures a dramatic mid-flight landing pose to the right of the vessel, highlighted by a draped pink curtain fold. []
Signatures & Production: Both prints are individually hand-signed in the printing plate in a fluid, stylized ink script within the lower image margins as “Locke”.
Framing & Mounts: Professionally gallery-framed in matching mid-century bevel-stepped solid wood frames finished in a whitewashed, open-grain ceruse style. Mounted under protective glass panes with original brown corrugated paper kraft backings and integrated silver-tone metal top triangle loops ready for hanging.
Era: Mid-Century Modern (Circa 1940s / 1950s).
Dimensions: Each framed item measures approximately 15.5 inches in width by 12.5 inches in height, with an inner printed image sight area measuring roughly 13.5 x 10.5 inches (refer to the edge-aligned rule markings for absolute scale).
Condition: Great vintage estate quality. The printed lithograph papers are remarkably flat, uniform, and free of moisture staining, sun fading, or yellow foxing. The whitewashed wood frames display light, age-appropriate storage edge wear and minor corner splitting from legacy wall mounting. The reverse kraft paper backings exhibit authentic historic punctures, tears, and minor edge peeling from decades of storage while keeping the internal glass and prints secure.
