A highly collectible vintage estate lot consisting of twelve (12) mid-century pocket-scale die-cast metal toy vehicles produced by renowned manufacturers Midgetoy and Husky. This group features iconic British and American casting profiles, making it an excellent opportunity for restoration hobbyists or toy salvage collectors.
Lot Breakdown & Brands:
Midgetoy (2 Vehicles): Two classic single-cast models produced in Rockford, Illinois. Includes a red open-top convertible roadster and a long sky-blue transit bus. Both features are anchored by clear “Midgetoy Rockford Ill. U.S.A.” structural underbelly stamps.
Husky (10 Vehicles): A robust assortment of ten vintage models manufactured in Great Britain, featuring textured chrome baseplates stamped with “Pat Pending Made in Gt Britain”. Highlights include a light blue Mercedes-Benz 220 sedan, an orange-brown Ford Thunderbird convertible, a gold-painted Aston Martin DB5 sports coupe, a yellow Guy Warrior concrete mixer truck with a red plastic drum, a yellow refuse collector dump truck, a red ambulance service van, a teal-green Volkswagen Type 2 split-window pickup van, a yellow passenger sedan, and two olive-drab military cargo transport trucks.
Condition Report:
The collection is offered strictly in well-played, unrestored salvage condition with notable condition defects. As pictured, the vehicles exhibit heavy paint loss, extensive chipping, and oxidized surface wear throughout. Most notably, the gold Aston Martin features severely broken, missing, and yellowed plastic window glass, the concrete mixer cab roof is heavily warped, and several undercarriages show heavy rust scaling along the axle channels. Axles may be bent and wheels display play wear.
