An authentic antique American primitive 6-gallon open utility crock produced by the historic Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. of Roseville, Ohio. This heavy-duty preservation vessel features a cream-colored Bristol white salt-glazed exterior face paired with a deep, dark Albany slip glazed brown interior lining. The front body proudly displays a sharp, stenciled cobalt blue crown graphic enclosing the number “6,” designating its large liquid or dry capacity. Condition Report: Very good antique condition. The crock maintains an incredibly solid structure and rings true when tapped, completely free of any structural vertical cracks, base fractures, or leaks. The interior Albany slip glazing is thick and glossy with minimal interior residue. The exterior face shows a beautiful primitive patina, including typical production-era minor factory glaze pops, small surface pit marks, superficial surface shelf rubs, and light localized iron spotting on the upper rear rim edge. Free of post-production restoration or heavy repairs.
