Item description:

Description: A matching pair of mid-century modern atomic-era glass bud vases. Each vase features a tapered conical body crafted from clear glass treated with a textured, satin-frosted seafoam turquoise or mint green finish. The front faces are decorated with a hand-applied, textured metallic gold enamel pattern depicting stylized atomic starburst and cross-hatched star motifs. The narrow necks flare out into a decorative, clear-rimmed ruffled or pie-crust scalloped top edge.

Dimensions: Each vase stands approximately 9.5 inches in height with a bottom base diameter of 3.5 inches and a top rim opening diameter of 3.25 inches.

Markings: The smooth, un-frosted flat glass bases are plain and unmarked by the original manufacturer. The atomic starburst design and frosted texture treatments are diagnostic characteristics that directly align with 1950s production runs from regional American glassware companies, such as the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation or the Libbey Glass Company.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Both glass vessels are structurally sound and entirely free of chips, cracks, structural fractures, or edge fleabites along the delicate scalloped rims. The frosted turquoise coating remains uniform and bright across both pieces. The hand-applied metallic gold enamel starburst stenciling is exceptionally well-preserved with clear, crisp geometries, showing only negligible pinpoint color thinning near the lower base margins as pictured in the catalog photos. The un-frosted bottom footprints show standard, minimal shelf-wear scuffing and a few minor spots of old storage residue.
