Description: A mid-century modern style studio art pottery planter crock produced by the celebrated Lapid Pottery works. Crafted with thick ceramic walls and a straight-sided cylindrical body. The exterior is decorated with a striking hand-painted abstract landscape pattern featuring multi-toned brown, black, and terracotta horizontal banding below a wavy, speckled sky-blue upper border line. The deep interior basin features a smooth matte cream finish.
Dimensions: Measures approximately 6.75 inches in diameter across the outer rim and stands 5.5 inches in height.
Markings: The unglazed flat base features a complete set of authentic factory backstamps and artist signatures, including a printed stamp reading "LAPID / MADE IN ISRAEL", a hand-written script underglaze line reading "Handpainted / by", and a large artist signature hallmark in bold black ink reading "ESTHER".
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The ceramic studio body is exceptionally solid and entirely free of chips, cracks, or deep structural hairline fractures. The interior basin displays a light, minor ring of natural mineral residue from historical plant display use. The unglazed bottom rim shows standard light shelf-wear discoloration.
