Condition Overview
Enamelware Basins and Pots: The entire 14-piece collection is in stable, rustic salvage condition with a few catastrophic breakthrough rusted-out structural holes. The porcelain coatings exhibit a heavily weathered, authentic antique patina consistent with long-term farm use. Widespread cosmetic wear is present across nearly all pieces, including heavy enamel chipping, porcelain loss, variable surface rust staining, and dark oxidation pitting concentrated along the interior basins, outer rims, pouring spouts, and undersides of the bases.
Lids and Handles: The three pot lids are physically stable; the swirled blue-and-white granite lid remains well-formed, while the white and cream lids show standard perimeter rim chipping and light rust lines around the loop handles. The long black handles on the white saucepan and blue melting cup are securely riveted, displaying typical surface scuffs, dulling, and minor handle discoloration from age.
