Vintage Brass Lantern Music Box Decanter | Novelty Liquor Dispenser

Description: A vintage mid-century novelty musical liquor decanter styled in the form of a classical carriage lantern. Built with a structured brass sheet casing featuring stylized arched geometric side cutout frames, four clear textured or patterned glass viewing window panels, a thin swinging wire carry handle, and protective metal dome rivet accents. The top contains an internal clear glass decanter bottle fitted with a natural cork stopper sleeve and a detachable mushroom-shaped brass pour cap.
Dimensions: Stands approximately 10.5 inches in height to the top of the brass stopper cap, extending to 13 inches high with the wire handle fully raised, by 4.5 inches wide.
Markings: The underside features an unpainted plywood base plate housing an integrated winding key and an automatic weight-release pin mechanism for the clockwork movement. No manufacturer hallmark stamps or labels are visible on the metal casing or under-base.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The structural brass frame and textured glass panels are stable and entirely free of chips, cracks, or breaks. The metal surfaces exhibit a naturally aged semi-gloss patina with variable tarnish lines, superficial scuffs, and minor localized oxidation spots consistent with shelf display. The internal music box mechanism winds smoothly via the bottom key; however, the automatic weight-release pin features an uncoiled or detached internal spring, meaning the music box did not play. The natural cork neck wrapper remains stable and tight within the clear glass bottle spout.
