Condition Overview
Platter Surface and Rim: The 12-inch diameter round serving surface features a polished, glossy finish with sharp geometric pattern crispness underneath. The transparent glass has excellent structural sound stability with no deep hairline cracks, heavy tarnish, or clouding. The outer rim is free of significant chips, exhibiting only minor surface utensil marks or faint shelf scuffs consistent with vintage estate use.
Pedestal Base: The integrated thick glass pedestal stem is firmly fused to the cake plate. It tapers out smoothly into a wide footed base ring to provide plenty of balance. The underside ring has minor shelf friction scuffing from display but is free of structural flat-edge chips or heavy damage. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
