Description: A large, highly collectible mid-century modern "Argental" serving or cocktail tray. Crafted from heavy-gauge handwrought aluminum featuring a hammered texture on the basin and side-handled wells, accented by fluted radiating corner borders. The center features a square, kiln-fired ceramic art tile inset designed with a Mediterranean or Majolica-style geometric floral pattern in deep cobalt blue, warm ochre, sage green, and cream white. The tile is flush-mounted and held securely by four diamond-arranged decorative metal rivet brackets.
Dimensions: Measures approximately 19.5 inches in width from handle to handle by 14 inches in height with a total depth of 1.25 inches.
Markings: The reverse side center is stamped with a crisp, authentic manufacturer hallmark configuration featuring an stylized stacked double "W" insignia flanked by the text "HANDWROUGHT / ARGENTAL", positioned directly above the maker line "CELLINI CRAFT".
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The structural aluminum platter body is completely solid with a stable rim outline and zero deep dents or punctures. The metallic surfaces show beautiful luster with minor, age-appropriate light superficial utility scratches and subtle storage scuffs. The central inset ceramic tile is pristine with bold, bright glazing details and is entirely free of chips, cracks, or surface glaze fractures.
