Condition Overview

Pure Flint Crock Bowl: The heavy stoneware mixing bowl is in structurally stable antique condition, free of large structural hairline fractures running through the basin. The interior features a glossy, dark chocolate Albany-style slip glaze that shows exceptional depth and typical light utensil scuffs from historical kitchen use. The cream-colored unglazed exterior highlights the molded paneling and integrated side lug handles. The upper rim displays moderate cosmetic wear, including scattered fleabites, light glaze flaking, and a few shallow edge chips along the perimeter. The underside base ring is crisply embossed with the company's circular "Pure Flint Progressive Pottery" maker mark and central triangle emblem.

Matching Albany Stoneware Domed Lid: The heavy matching lid fits atop the bowl rim securely. The unglazed upper dome section features defined vertical ribs and light, uniform surface browning and discoloration consistent with stove or oven heating. The underside bowl of the lid is finished in a matching dark Albany slip glaze, showing a clean surface free of deep crazing or structural impacts. The outer seating lip exhibits typical shelf wear, surface friction scuffs, and minor clay pitting from the original kiln firing
