Description: A group lot of three primitive American yellowware and utility stoneware food preparation vessels. The collection features a classic cylindrical kitchen storage crock or butter pot detailed with three painted cobalt blue horizontal bands. The middle vessel is a traditional yellowware nesting bowl molded with a tight concentric tiered rib design and accented with a pink and blue banded striped collar. The final piece is a shallow, wide-rimmed stoneware yellowware mixing basin.
Dimensions: The blue-banded crock measures 7.5 inches in diameter by 5.5 inches high. The ribbed bowl measures 7.5 inches in diameter by 4.5 inches high. The shallow mixing basin measures 7.25 inches in diameter by 2.75 inches high.
Markings: No apparent production stamps, maker hallmarks, or signatures are visible on the unglazed flat bases of the vessels. Faint underglaze production numbers or capacity indicator shadows are present on the crock face.
Condition: Weathered, heavily used primitive condition showing significant historic wear. The shallow basin features a large, coarse rim chip measuring approximately 1 inch across. The middle ribbed bowl shows comprehensive webbed glaze crazing, interior staining spots, a hairline tight fracture trailing down the sidewall, and minor pitting. The blue-banded crock pot displays hairline surface cracks inside the basin and localized rim chips.
