Item description:

Item Details:
Type: Antique primitive firkin / covered wooden sugar bucket
Dimensions:
Bucket Height: Approximately 6.25 inches (to the rim edge)
Total Height: Approximately10 inches (to the peak of the extended handle)
Construction: Classic stave-and-hoop design utilizing three bentwood interlocking wrap-around bands secured with small metal tacks and wire staples. Includes a thick bent wood swing handle mounted via carved wood pegs on the sides.
Lid Detail: Fitted flush-rim matching wood lid featuring a rustic, hand-painted green-and-brown folk art depiction of a squirrel eating a nut.
Interior & Underside: Open unlined wood interior chamber showing residual green paint or mineral stains on the bottom boards. Flat recessed wooden underside base.
Condition: Pre-owned antique condition with heavy rustic patina consistent with age. Wood surfaces show typical surface scuffs, scratches, hair-line grain splits, and minor finish loss around the lid edges. The bentwood hoops remain intact, and the swing handle operates smoothly.
