<p>As the 6th generation on this dairy farm, Sean and Linda and their children continue the legacy established since 1880. Linda&rsquo;s parents, Stanley and Geneva Diers, began registering cows and DHIA testing in the 60&rsquo;s, developing many deep cow families still in the herd today. Over the years, Minkota Holsteins has sold several head privately off the farm, establishing a reputation of honesty and integrity, producing many satisfied customers and return buyers. Mid-American Auction Company is honored to be selected to conduct the Groos family&rsquo;s Minkota Opportunity Sale II. This herd as been on test for 60 years with current official records indicating a herd average of 2X 26,850 milk, 4.1% 1079 fat, 3.3% 846 protein, and 87 pound tank average. Many cows fresh since September 1st and in full production, milking from 90 pounds to 150 pounds per day. This herd has been exclusively AI bred for over 60 years and mated for decades using leading sires, including but not limited to: Monterey, King Boy, Gatedancer, Accel Renown, DeWars, Supersire, High Octane, Mogul, Renegade, Roz Royal, and Channing, among others. Minkota Holsteins is a 7 year recipient of the Progressive Genetics Herd Award and listed on the 2019 Progressive Breeders Registry with the MN Holstein Association. Recent classification yielded 5 Excellents, 33 Very Goods and 72 Good Plus young cows with a BAA of 106. Excellent herd health program in place, all Bangs vaccinated with fresh cows all receiving an annual BoviShield vaccination each year. Cows are housed on sand bedded freestalls, are milked in a step-up parlor and acquainted with headlocks. Hoof trimming and maintenance is performed regularly along with the use of a foot bath. All cows fresh &lt; 60 days are on track with a PreSynch/OvSynch reproduction protocol in place. All cows selling breed back well and are reproductively sound. This is a well-uddered herd with excellent feet and legs and great dispositions making their transition to any type facility much easier. Carly, VG-89 Cassino dtr, with records over 30,000 milk and 1100 lbs fat. In her 6th lact, settled on 1st brdg, due in Aug. 92-3E GMD dam made over 319,000 lifetime, 11,800 fat, 8900 pro. Also selling is her fancy Gatedancer 2 yr old dtr, Darling, pictured on flyer.

Sushi, 3 yr old on the money for the showring Monterey dtr, milking at a 100 lbs/day w/ 4.5% fat, out of 87 pt Redburst w/ records over 31,000 milk and 1,000 fat. Also selling is her flashy 2 yr old DeWars sister, Smoothie, as well as the Redburst dam, Susie.

Bessie, G+83 herd production leader at 154 lbs/day w/ 3.9% fat on January test in her 4th lact. Made over 40,000 lbs milk and 1500 lbs fat last year.

Hey There, Beautiful uddered 2 yr old by Renown w/ 75 lbs of 5.3% fat milk on January test. Settled on 1st brdg and due in Sept. Her ToyStory granddam posted over 200,000 lbs lifetime milk and 7500 lbs fat.

Big Dipper, Lovely, dairy, just fresh 3 yr old made over 29,000 milk and 1,000 fat in 2 yr old record. VG-85 dam has over 100,000 lifetime and VG-87 granddam over 273,000 lifetime milk, 9900 lbs fat and 8110 lbs protein.

Bethany, VG-88 Numero Uno dtr, milking 116 lbs/day w/ 4.4% fat in her 5th lact. Last year’s record boasted over 30,000 lbs milk and 1344 lbs fat. Also selling is her stylish, just fresh 2 yr old dtr, Brittany, by DeWars.

Julia, highest CTPI cow in the herd at 2312, she’s milking 91 lbs/day w/ 4.6% fat and 3.5% pro. At 121 production index of herd and ME$ of 6247. Very balanced, functional milk cow scored at G+83.

Lisa, Reserve Grand of county fair open show, scored VG-85 as a 2 yr old, due sale day with 2nd calf. Sells with 84 pt cookie cutter twin sister, Mona, both w/ exciting futures. VG-89 Atwood dam had over 150,000 lifetime milk and 5300 fat.

Justify, promising Monterey dtr due in May with stacked pedigree from a high component family. VG-86 Pety dam, Secretariat, milking at 100 lbs/day of 4.5% fat milk also sells. Backed by VG-88 granddam with 5.0% fat and 3.3% protein average lifetime.
