Back-illuminated CMOS sensors provide higher quantum-efficiency by moving the photo-diode layer in front of the electronic components, increasing photon-absorption. This allows a much higher gain with minimal image-noise. Images can be captured with shorter exposure times and faster framerates. The high-resolution sensor captures incredible detail with accurate colors. This camera pairs especially well with stereo micros.
