SEE PHOTOS
This Spruce shrub is a lovely dwarf conifer that displays an emerald-green foliage quite unique in color when viewed in comparison to similar compact evergreens. In fact, this shrub received the name Little Gem as a result of its unusually bright emerald-green coloring. The Little Gem Norway Spruce requires no pruning to attain its naturally rounded form and only needs minimal watering the first season after planting. Once established in the soil, all that's left to do is enjoy the rich evergreen color that Little Gem continuously provides. This dwarf shrub is especially suited for planting near plants with purple foliage in order to contrast and highlight both uniquely vibrant colors in a landscape. With an equal height and width between 1 ft. and 2 ft., this miniature size also makes Little Gemidealfora variety of planting locations. Little Gem does best in USDA Cold Hardiness Zones 4 through 9, meaning that this beautiful shrub withstands temperatures below minus 20°F. Perfect for planting near structures or taller flowering plants since its compact size won't intrude and because its rich color will keep landscapes alive all year, especially through the gray winter months.
