Model 66-1 is a classic stainless steel K-frame revolver, essentially a durable all-weather version of the famous Model 19. Introduced in 1977 (the ” -1″ designates an engineering change), it features a “pinned” half lugged barrel, 6 shot fluted cylinder, adjustable rear sight with a red ramp fixed front, checkered walnut factory grips with medallions, a smooth double/single action trigger, and a wide checkered spur target hammer, made for law enforcement and civilians alike. Known for its accuracy and reliability, it was a popular duty weapon, praised for its solid feel and performance. This model is the 4″ version.
