This Winchester Model 94 Golden Spike Commemorative 30-30 Win, is a limited-edition lever-action rifle manufactured in 1969 to honor the 100th anniversary of the completion of America’s first transcontinental railroad. This collectible firearm features a distinct combination of historical tribute, visual elegance, and classic Winchester Repeating Arms craftsmanship. Built on the legendary Model 94 platform, the rifle was carefully stylized to evoke the historical meeting of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads at Promontory Summit, Utah, on May 10, 1869. It has a blued, 20� round barrel roll-marked with ” Golden Spike Commemorative”. It has a hooded beaded front sight and an adjustable rear elevator sight, a yellow-gold plated receiver, and gold-plated barrel and magazine bands. The left side of the receiver features an engraved railroad spike flanked by the dates 1869 and 1969, while the upper tang reads “Oceans United By Rail” . A special United States Mint-struck commemorative medallion is embedded into the right side of the satin finished smooth American walnut buttstock, depicting the two historic steam engines clanging together. A total of 69,996 units were produced at Winchester’s historic New Haven, Connecticut facility, with all serial numbers sharing a unique “GS” prefix. �The Golden Spike Commemorative edition became a highly sought-after collector’s item due to its limited production and unique historical significance. � Please see photos.
