The Smith & Wesson Victory Model, serial number V7759, is a World War II-era .38 Special service revolver. It is part of the early-1942 production run and was highly likely manufactured and shipped in the spring of 1942, shortly after the United States entered the war. This early 1942 U.S. Navy contract revolver features a “U.S. NAVY” stamp directly on the topstrap of the frame. Standard military configuration with a 4-inch barrel, smooth walnut wood grips, a lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip frame, and a Parkerized (matte gray) or original commercial blued finish. Revolver appears to be in original, un re-finished condition. Please see the photos. C&R
