Bloody Bill Anderson revolver w/ chest and Powder and bullet mold. Two letters and picture. Colt 1851 Navy .36 Cal percussion revolver allegedly Attributed to �Bloody Bill Anderson� . Examined by High Caliber History�s Logan Metesh. Manufactured in 1863, Standard example of a Civil War era revolver. Original Blued finish, 65%, wood finish 70%, 68% overall. Mechanics: Good, Timing/Lockup: Good, Matching numbers, , partial cylinder scene, minor cracks in both grips. The revolver is an Authentic, Solid example of an 1851 Navy revolver. None of the documentation can be positively tied to Bloody Bill. Handwritten letter’s provenance cannot be substantiated. Accessories with gun cannot be definitively tied to the gun. The belt buckle appears genuine, but cannot be tied to Anderson. The bullet mold is generic and not Colt-branded. The percussion cap tin is significantly post-Civil War. Valuation is based on the originality of the gun and the buckle, nothing else. At best, the connection is to the Anderson family, and nothing more definitive than that.
