Manufactured in 1963 as per serial number. This Grade 1 /Standard/Lightning is part of the highly collectible Belgian made over/under shotgun, notable because 1963 marked the official introduction year for the 28ga and .410 bore receivers in the Superposed line. Built on a true scaled-down 28-gauge frame rather than a heavier 20-gauge frame, making early examples light, fast handling, and scarce. It has a blued steel finish on the hand scrolled engraved receiver, vent rib barrels, a single selective Browning signature gold trigger, steel front bead sight, fixed Modified chokes, checkered gloss walnut forend and round knob long tang stock with a Browning embossed bakelite buttplate (with some chips around the top screw and right corner), LOP is 14.25�, and chambered for 2 �� shells. There are some light scratches and dings in the wood furniture, and some areas with finish wear on the barrel as well as some slight freckling. Please see photos. C&R
