�Collector� Manufactured in 1910 as per serial number. This lever action 10ga Winchester 1901 was designed to handle early smokeless powder. It was only made in 10ga to avoid competing with Winchester’s pump-action shotguns. Produced from 1901 to 1920, it features a 32� barrel and a 2 ?� chamber with a 5rnd tube magazine. It features John Browning’s leaver action design with the “WRA Co” (Winchester Repeating Arms Co) signature stamp on the left side of the receiver and the trademark located on the upper tang behind the hammer. In its original patina with about 60% of its original blued finish and a small dent on the upper left on the barrel. The smooth walnut forend and round pistol grip stock has some scratches, dents, and dings with no sign of �structural� cracks. It is strongly recommended to use low-pressure or specialized black powder loads (operating at around 7,500�9,000 PSI). Do not use modern steel shot in these barrels, as they lack the hardness required. Bismuth or soft lead alternatives are the standard for modern shooting Please see photos.
