�Collector� 1 of only 15000 ever produced. Manufactured in 1889 as per serial number. This example is unusual in that it is chambered for .22 Short. Rather than using the King�s patent loading gate, this 1873 has a tube magazine which is removed from the front to load, familiar to most users of tube-fed rimfire rifles of today. It looks like it has had a long and useful life, but retains most of its original blue finish on the receiver with the barrel and magazine tube turning into its original gray patina. It has a 24� octagonal barrel with a full length magazine tube, drift front and Marble’s buckhorn rear sights, smooth American walnut forend and straight stock with the iconic crescent steel buttplate. There are no signs of “structural” cracks in the wood furniture. There is some dings in the forend , and some areas of light pitting on the barrel exterior and magazine tube.
