Manufactured in 2005 as per serial number. The Browning BAR Mk. II Safari is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .270 Winchester, designed for hunters who value power, accuracy, and classic styling. Part of the esteemed Browning BAR series, which has been in production since the 1960s, the Mk. II Safari model stands out for its combination of a reliable semi-auto action and elegant, high-quality materials, making it a popular choice for big game hunters. The .270 Winchester cartridge is known for its flat trajectory, mild recoil, and effectiveness on medium to large game, such as deer and elk. Chambered in .270 Win, the BAR Mk. II Safari offers excellent ballistic performance, delivering high velocity and energy with consistent accuracy at extended ranges. This makes it an ideal rifle for hunting in open terrain or for taking long-range shots. The BAR Mk. II Safari features a gas operated action with a multi-lug rotating bolt semi-automatic design allowing for rapid follow-up shots. The stock is a two piece checkered walnut set with a sling stud, rounded forend, semi-pistol grip, straight fluted comb, sling stud, and textured rubber buttplate and the LOP measures 14�. While there are no iron sights it is mounted with a Leopold VX-Freedom 3-9×40 scope with a duplex reticle and 1� rings. It has a deep blued finish on the barrel and scroll engraved receiver, and it has a swing down 4rnd box magazine, and the signature gold Browning trigger. Includes a rubber and nylon sling. There are signs of use and normal handling with some finish wear on the top of the barrel with some very light marks on the left side of the receiver. Please see photos.
