The Savage Arms Model 64 is an affordable, semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR, known for its reliable straight-blowback action and accuracy. Originally designed by Hubert Cooey and previously manufactured by Lakefield Arms before Savage’s 1995 acquisition, it is a staple for plinking, target shooting, and small-game hunting. It has a Detachable box magazine, typically available in 10-round magazine, adjustable open iron sights; many receivers are also drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and a receiver made of steel, unlike some competitors that use aluminum, adding to its durability.
