The Ranger 101.11A is a vintage .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle that was a store-branded firearm sold by Sears, Roebuck & Co., and manufactured by Savage Arms. It is widely considered to be a Savage Model 6 or Stevens Model 87 under a different name. The rifle has a unique semi-automatic action that can also be manually locked for single-shot operation. The rifle is sometimes known as a “gill gun” due to a unique action where the bolt stays open after firing in semi-auto mode until the trigger is released. This design allows the user to manually cycle the action (by pulling and releasing the charging handle) to fire different lengths of .22 rounds. Bottom of the butt plate is broken off, stock shows use but no major scratching, has some surface rust and pitting on barrel and receiver. Please see photos. C&R
