Manufactured between 1916-1917 as per serial number, and originally chambered for .455 Webley this example features a shaved cylinder. A common modification done after being imported to the ( U.S.) where the rear face of the cylinder was milled down (shaved) to allow the revolver to chamber .45 ACP cartridges using moon clips. This is a former British military revolver with all the proof marks intact. It is a break top with an auto eject 6 shot fluted cylinder, black coating, double action, with fixed sights, and smooth wood grips. Has signs of use with some scratches and surface pitting.
