“Very Unique”! The Voere VEC-91 is a historically significant bolt-action rifle known for being the first commercial sporting rifle to use caseless ammunition and electronic firing. It was manufactured by the Austrian company Voere between 1991 and the early 2000s, with limited importation into the US. The most notable aspects of the VEC-91 are its use of caseless ammunition and its electronic ignition system. It fires caseless ammunition (Usel Caseless Cartridge – UCC) in 5.7mm UCC. The case is entirely made of solid nitrocellulose propellant leaving no empty cases behind. Features an electronic firing system, where a ceramic cap detonates the primer via battery charge, eliminating the need for a firing pin. This system removes lock time, contributing to its reported high accuracy. Two 15-volt batteries located in the pistol grip power the electronic ignition, capable of approximately 5,000 rounds per set. A detachable box magazine, with a capacity of 5 rounds for 5.7mm cartridge. The stock is an oil finished checkered walnut with a rubber recoil pad. Includes a soft zip case, 150 rnds, 2 extra Excell A220/504A batteries, and a factory QD scope mount with rings. Please see photos!!!
