The Saiga-12 is a Russian-made, 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun patterned after the reliable Kalashnikov AK-47 rifle design. It is known for its high reliability and ability to use detachable box or drum magazines, making it popular for self-defense, tactical use, and sport hunting. The shotgun is engineered to cycle most 2.75″ and 3″ 12-gauge shells, including birdshot, buckshot, and slugs, though an adjustable gas system.
