The Champion line was introduced in 1909, with the name changing to “Champion Single Barrel” in 1923, and production continuing until around 1978. It features a simple, reliable top-lever operated break-open design and a rebounding hammer, case-hardened receiver (which often tones to a brown-gray patina over time) and a walnut stock and forend.
