Manufactured in 1909 as per serial number. The Winchester Model 1901 10 Gauge lever action shotgun, a robust and historically significant firearm designed by the legendary John Browning. The original blued finish is still about 90%. The smooth walnut forend and stock show signs of wear including scratches, dings, and scuffs, adding character to this historic firearm. The LOP is 13 ¾ “ and appears to have had the stock extended and a rubber recoil pad installed at some point. It has a white front bead sight, and includes a 29 3/4″ second barrel in its original patina with with white bead sight as well. The Winchester Model 1901 is a direct evolution of the Model 1887. With a barrel length of 32 inches and magazine tube capacity of 5 2 ¾” shells, this shotgun combines formidable firepower with practical utility.
