This is a .31 Caliber black powder percussion single shot boot pistol. The circa 1840’s-50’s bag shaped handle is reminiscent of early Allen & Thurber pistols. The metal surfaces are mostly gray brown with areas of pitting. The grips are solid and show very old use marks. The hammer does not hold back unless you keep the trigger forward “(Needs Repair)” a dark bore with some roughness and surface oxidation. A neat looking black powder pistol and an included wooden display box with poker chips and a brass and wood ram rod. Please see photos. No FFL needed in most states.
