“COLLECTORS”! Manufactured in 1976 as per serial number. This Bicentennial rifle is stamped “MADE IN THE 200TH YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY” is stamped on the left side of the barrel Introduced in 1967 and, at first the single shot falling-block single shot was on the outs with most hunters and even target shooters wanting semi autos, lever actions, and bolt action repeating rifle . The brilliant success of the Ruger No. 1 comes from its embodiment of Ruger’s design philosophy. It is simple, it is durable, it is reliable. It doesn’t hurt that it’s gorgeous as well! One of its designers, Lenard Brownell, said he had tried several times to blow one up, but couldn’t. It features a deep blued finish with walnut checkered forend and pistol grip wood stock with a red rubber recoil pad, a steel grip cap, adjustable front and rear iron sights, and grooves in the receiver for factory scope rings. It shows some signs of use with some light scratches on the wood furniture. Please see photos. C&R
