Manufactured in 1919 as per serial number. Designed by John M. Browning, the Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless became a favored sidearm for U.S. officers and intelligence personnel through both World Wars. The internal hammer, compact 3.75” barrel, and slim profile made it easy to conceal while still offering reliable single action performance. The Type III production introduced an integrated barrel bushing and vertical slide serrations, both present on this example. These updates improved disassembly strength and handling over earlier versions, marking a notable evolutionary step in the series.The heel style magazine release, factory checkered bakelite grip panels with Colt and a rampant hoarse logo moulded in, manual thumb safety, and grip frame safety reflect Colt’s emphasis on secure carry. Combined with fixed iron sights this pistol presents the configuration most officers trusted in the field. Includes 1 – 7 rnd factory marked Colt 32 magazine and a wood display box with brass hardware, green felt, and a glass window lid. The pistol has signs of use with some oxidization an pitting on the slide. Please see photos.
