The Baikal IJ-70 is a commercial variant of the famous Soviet Makarov PM semi-automatic pistol, manufactured by the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (under the Baikal brand name) and imported into the United States primarily during the 1990s. Unlike military Makarovs with fixed sights, the IJ-70 features a target-adjustable rear sight to meet strict 1968 GCA import points, t utilizes a rugged, all-steel frame and slide, operating on a simple straight-blowback, double-action/single-action (DA/SA) mechanism, It includes a slide-mounted manual safety that doubles as a decocker, and features a traditional European heel magazine release at the bottom of the grip. Includes 1 – 8rnd magazine. Has signs of normal use. Please see photos.
