Manufactured in 1980 as per serial number. The Marlin Model 60 sold under the Marlin Glenfield Model 60 label is a highly accurate, tube-fed .22 LR semi-automatic rifle legendary for its 18rnd capacity and proprietary Micro-Groove rifling. Produced during what many enthusiasts consider a “sweet spot” era, this specific year features the classic long 22� JM stamped barrel with iron sights and full-length magazine tube before later 1980s gun laws forced factory design changes. It features a pressed birch wood stock featuring an embossed squirrel and oak leaves on the pistol grip. The 1980 model features a manual lock (pushing the charging handle inward) but does not have the “last-shot” automatic bolt hold-open, which wasn’t introduced until 1985. Has signs of use with some finish wear on the receiver and barrel, needs the rear sight and the trigger repaired. Please see photos.
