Item description:

Make: Colt
Model: Officers / King Super Tar
Caliber: .38 AMU / .38 Spl
Action: DA
Barrel: 6
Bore: Bright
Serial # 12842
Condition: Very Good
Manufactured in 1935 during Colt's celebrated pre-war golden era, this hand-fitted, medium-frame revolver features an incredibly crisp action, sharp lockup, and a mirror-bright bore. This specimen boasts a full, high-performance "Super Target" conversion executed by the legendary D.W. King Gun Sight Company of San Francisco, featuring a floating ventilated rib barrel attachment, a micrometer adjustable rear sight, and an illuminated mirror front blade sight. Transcending a mere precision tool, the steel was beautifully hand-engraved by master craftsman Bernard N. Elliott with elaborate scrollwork and deep-relief wildlife game scenes, including a raised Colt and California grizzly bear on the left, and a howling wolf on the right. This historic exhibition package is accompanied by two sets of period-correct, regional target grips: a premium custom wooden checkered set and a stunning pair of floral-patterned dark brown molded Bakelite #202 "Pointer" target grips by W. Murad Manufacturing Co. Please use the photos as final judgment before bidding.
