Manufactured in 1944 this Turkish Mauser (officially the Model 1938 or “K.Kale”) is a bolt-action military rifle produced at the Ankara arsenal. It is chambered in 8x57mm Mauser and features a distinct 29” barrel. Though dated 1939, these were typically older WWI-era Mausers arsenal-rebuilt by the Turkish Republic to standardize their military. It has the TC AS. FA. ANKARA 1944″ stamped on the receiver ring, a full length Turkish walnut stock with a front blade and rear tangent sights, and a cleaning rod. It has the normal surplus well used look that makes these rifles unique with finish wear and scars of war. Includes a canvas military sling. Please see photos. C&R
